A 30-minute private lesson is $35. A 60-minute private lesson is $70.
Students are encouraged to practice approximately 30 minutes each day so they can reinforce the skills introduced during lessons.
Students need a violin, bow, music stand, pencil, and any assigned music or learning materials.
Lessons are primarily taught online through Zoom, allowing children and adults to receive focused one-on-one instruction from home.
Gerri teaches children and adults at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, including students returning to violin after time away.
Gerri often recommends starting with a 30-minute lesson. The right length depends on the student’s age, experience, goals, and attention span.
A raw beginner may begin with lessons once or twice weekly. Gerri can recommend a schedule after learning more about the student.
A violin is needed for instruction and practice. For families local to Winston-Salem, Gerri may help with choosing or renting an appropriate instrument.
Beginners purchase Suzuki Books 1–4 as assigned. All students are responsible for purchasing their assigned music and learning materials.
Initial consultation calls are free for up to 15 minutes. If the meeting includes instruction, student assessment, or lesson planning, it is billed at the standard lesson rate.
No. You may select Suzuki, traditional, a combination, or ask Gerri to recommend the best starting approach.
Choose an available time and submit the attached booking form. The time is held as Pending confirmation until Gerri reviews it. You receive a second email when it is confirmed or declined.
No. Booking emails contain a private View or Cancel Request link that shows the current status without requiring registration or login.
Gerri currently handles lesson payments through Zelle. Zoom and Zelle information is provided directly after the lesson time is confirmed.
Use the private link in the booking email to cancel a request or confirmed lesson. To reschedule, choose another available time or contact the studio.
